Are your products made in China?

No. EvenGreener is a part of a British manufacturing group. The vast majority of our products are made in our own factory in Yorkshire.

Delivery/Collections

Can I collect my order from you?

No, we are not currently able to make collection an option.

How do I get an item/order collected if it is not suitable for me?

You can cancel your order for any reason before delivery or within 14 days after receiving delivery. The goods must be unused and in their original packaging. You can return for a full refund or if you require us to collect, a collection fee may apply. Contact us or read our delivery page for more details.

Do I need to be in at the time of delivery?

Most items can be left on your property if safe to do so. You are not required to be at home when they are delivered.

How long will it take for my order to be delivered?

We deliver 7 days a week, and your delivery should be with you 14 days after placing your order. However, during peak season, or periods of low stock, delivery can take up to 28 days. Currently, due to current technical difficulties outside our control, certain orders are taking longer to be delivered than expected. Delivery times can also depend on the size of your order. Big, bulky items (such as large composters, water butts, and wheelie bins) will take the longest. Resultingly, our EvenGreener review requests are being sent out automatically 35 days after purchase. What is the delivery cost?

We offer free delivery on all orders over £10 to addresses in England. Orders to Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland may be subject to a delivery fee. All orders below £10 to addresses in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will be subject to a £3.99 delivery charge.

Can I get the items delivered to my allotment?

No, we are only able to deliver to residential and business addresses.

My order has been over 28 days what do I do?

There may be an issue with your delivery – please contact us and we will investigate for you.

Why have I not received my order yet?

During peak season or periods of low stock, delivery can take up to 28 days. Currently, due to current technical difficulties outside our control, certain orders are taking longer to be delivered than expected. Our Customer Care team are doing everything they can to keep all customers updated on the status of their order.

Why have I received an email regarding my delivery from a company called Mosaic? Should I click on it or is it spam?

Mosaic are one of our fulfilment warehouses. Because of the nature of our stock, and delivery systems, some smaller item orders or mixed orders (orders containing small and large items) may be fulfilled via the Mosaic warehouse. The email sent from Mosaic is completely safe to click on and will allow you to track your parcel on its journey to you.

Orders

How do I cancel my order?

You can cancel your order any time up to the point it is dispatched. Please get in touch as soon as you can to avoid any return charges. Check our delivery & returns policy for more details.

Can I swap out a Diverter Kit for a Link Kit in the water butt kit I want to purchase?

No, the water butt kits are packed in advance so we are unable to switch components. However, you can purchase extra elements in our Water Butt Accessories collection.

I want to swap my compost bin from black to green can I do that?

If your order is yet to be dispatched, we can amend this for you. If your order has already been dispatched or you have received it, we can arrange a collection and place a new order for the different item. Please note that collection charges may apply.

Why haven’t I received an order confirmation email?

If you use a smaller email hosting company (a non-Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook or MSN email host) then the order confirmation email we send to you may be rejected. If you have not recieved an order confirmation please:

A) Check your spam folder and reach out to your email host to ask why an order confirmation email that was sent from a legitimate store was rejected for spam.

B) Contact us at customer.care@evengreener.com – we can re-send an order confirmation email to another of your email addresses.

Bundles

I've got 2 bundles in my basket- why can I not purchase them together?

Any 2 bundles containing the same component will not work in conjunction with each other. You can purchase 2 of the exact same bundle however.

What is a bundle?

A bundle is a set of complimentary products that are sold together. Buying a bundle is usually cheaper than purchasing each product within the bundle seperately, helping you live EvenGreener for less!

Which bundles do not work together?

Bundles containing the same components will not work together. This means that:

1) The Mini Rainsaver 100 Litre Water Butt Double Kits do not work together (but they can be purchased with single kits, as these are not bundles).

2) The Harcostar Water Butt Kits in 350, 700 and 1050 Litre capacities cannot be purchased in conjunction. Anyone of these kits can, however, be purchased with the single 350 Litre Harcostar Water Butt, or the 114, 227 and 168 Litre Harcostar Water Butt Kits.

4) The HotBin and Plinth 100 & 200 Litre Bundles do not work in conjunction with each other. However both bundles work individually with single HotBin products.

Our Composters

How do I fit the Compost Converter to the Base Plate?

The Base Plate fits both 220 and 330 litre models. Simply sit the compost bins on top of the Base Plate and start filling your bin!

What can I put in my compost bin?

You need a good mix of waste to ensure the best possible results. This can be both garden and kitchen waste. Some examples are as follows but there are many more:

GARDEN WASTE - Grass cuttings, hedge trimmings, leaves, most weeds, twigs, etc.

KITCHEN WASTE – Fruit &
vegetable peelings, cardboard, tea bags & coffee grounds, hair, rabbit/guinea pig straw/waste

HOT COMPOST – Hot composters can break down cooked meats, bones, and citrus fruit peel as well as other kitchen waste.

DO NOT COMPOST – dog or cat faeces, diseased plants, weeds that are in seed.

Our Water Butts

How do I fit the tap on my water butt?

Depending on the style of water butt, it may have a threaded fitting or require a nut to secure the tap. The threaded models will arrive with the tap hole protected by a screw-in bung which should be removed with a large flat-headed screwdriver or spanner before installing the tap.

I have not received the tap with my water butt

Your tap should be inside the water butt when it arrives. The Harcostar range should have the tap secured to the underside of the lid. Other models should have the tap inside the water butt with other parts. If you cannot locate your tap, please report this as soon as you discover it is missing. Contact us.

My water butt has been delivered but there is only one package - where is the stand?

The stands are usually delivered inside the water butt. Please check there but if you are unable to locate it, please report this as soon as possible. Contact us.

Do I have to empty my water butt in winter?

It is a good idea to drain your water butt during sustained cold, frosty periods to ensure that no damage is caused by expanding ice inside the barrel.

Can I fit the water butt myself or do I have to hire someone to fit it?

A plumber is not required to install the water butts but some light DIY skills and tools may be required. If you would like us to send fitting information before you purchase, please get in touch and we will email them to you. Contact us.

Can I put the downpipe straight into the water butt rather than using the diverter kit provided?

Yes, each water butt lid has a template to cut out a section where the downpipe can be inserted directly into the water butt.

My water butt is not filling up / My water butt is overflowing.

If newly installed, refer to the fitting instructions as the fittings need to be set-up exactly to the correct height, and on a flat surface. If it has worked previously and then stops filling after a period of time, check the pipes for debris.

Reviews

Will my review be visible?

Please note, we publish all 4 and 5 star reviews instantly, whilst reviews of 3 stars and below will be reviewed, and then potentialy published.

Can I upload photos and videos to accompany my reviews?

Verified buyers (those who have completed a purchase) will have the option to publish a review with a photo and/or video via the review request email they have been sent.

How do I make sure my review will contribute towards the Loyalty & Rewards scheme?

To get points for leaving a review, your review will need to be verified purchase review. You will be sent a review request email within 21 days of making your purchase, and you can leave your review via the links in this email.

Payments/Invoices

I've placed an order, but money has not been taken from my account?

Payment is taken when stock is in place and the order is passed to a carrier. Please feel free to contact us. if you would like an update or are concerned that there is an issue.

How do I get a VAT invoice for my order?

We can provide a VAT receipt if required, so please contact us to request this.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept payments via debit and credit cards, including Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Debit MasterCard, and Maestro. All payments are secured by Sage Pay.

Loyalty and Rewards

How do I earn points?

You can earn points in a number of ways- from following us on our social media platforms, to leaving reviews, and making orders over £150. Discover all the ways you can earn points on our Loyalty and Rewards page.

When can I use my points to get money off my order?

You can use points to get money off orders that are £80 or more. You must have 100 points or more to use as a discount on your purchase. The following thresholds apply: To get 10% off a purchase, you must have 100 points, and your order must be £80 or more. To get 20% off, you must have 200 points and your order must be £100 or more. To get 30% off, you need 300 points, and your order must be over £150.

When will I move up to a new loyalty tier?

You can move up the loyalty tiers, by accumulating points over time. You will be upgraded to a new Tier 30 days after your last purchase, once you have gained the right number of points. Your new Tier status will be displayed when you log into your account.

How do I use points to get money off my order?

You can redeem points at the point of purchase. Make sure you are logged into your account, and then when your basked it full, head to the checkout. If you have enough points, and your order is £80 or over, a drop down box points box will be visible under your basket items, and there you can select the percentage discount you want to apply.

Can I redeem my points on bundles or other discounted items?

No- currently our loyalty and rewards system is not compatible with any bundles, or other discounts or campaigns we offer, or may offer in the future across the site.

Do I need to create an account to earn points?

Yes, you will need to sign up in order to earn points.

Can I earn points by leaving reviews?

Yes. It will need to be a registered review, which means you need to complete the review via the email you get sent after you make a purchase. A purchase must be made, and verified in order for you to leave a review and get points.

I purchased something on your old site - can I redeem points from this?

Unfortunately not, all customers to our new site must start from scratch when it comes to earning reward points.

I've ordered from your site in bulk, because I'm a business - do I qualify for the rewards scheme?

No, our rewards scheme is exclusively for customers, not businesses or wholesalers.

What's the maximum number of points that can be redeemed at once?

The maximum usage of points in one go is 300, which would give you 30% off your total order. This order must be £150 or over for the points to be redeemed.

Will I move down a tier if I redeem my points?

Once you spend your points, you will still retain your tier status, because the system goes off the points you have accumulated overall, rather than what points you have to spend at any given time.
